Alright everyone, part 1 of our new on-going GL series is online and ready to read. Right now, I have the working title of On-Going series, but I am setting up a contest to name the new series. I will keep you posted on that soon.
Welcome to the first posting on this new blog, my new home for Guiding Light Fan Fiction. Why am I writing this blog? Well, about four years ago, my wife, an avid GL fan, got me hooked on the soap. The Marvel Comics crossover with GL helped a little too. My wife and I were blessed by a baby girl this year and one of the things she was looking forward to was introducing our little girl to the same soap she was introduced to by her mom and her mom by her mom. Unfortunately, that is now no longer possible. So I decided that I would pick up where the show left off and offer my view on the GL cast and characters. These are not my characters nor did I have a hand in creating them. I receive no compensation for this work but I do get the gratification of giving my wife, our daughter and the fans of GL a taste of what could have been.
My first foray into the GL Universe is to tell the tale of Jeffrey O’Neil and his quest to take down the elusive Edmund Winslow. Two years later, Jeffrey O’Neil is still hot on Edmund Winslow’s trail. Will he be able to stop Edmund once and for all? Will Reva find out Jeffrey is still alive? Find out in the weeks to come.
GL spanned generations of fans and now that it has come to an end, many of those fans are left wondering what did the future hold for these characters. So check back weekly as I will post a chapter a week of new GL stories, featuring favorites such as Reva Shayne, Josh Lewis, Jeffrey O’Neil, the Spauldings, the Coopers and everyone else.
